Review Problem

A very small block of mass m is placed at the top of a hemispherical frictionless cap of radius R. The block is given a slight nudge (Vi » 0) just enough to make it slide down the cap, which itself sits on top of a horizontal table.

Where will it land?

Note: The answer must be expressed only in terms of R. If you have trouble dealing with symbols you may assign a value for R (for instance, R = 1 m).
