Performing Arts


For five decades
the Performing Arts Series has brought Sewanee a wide array of the world’s finest artists. From famous names to new faces, from the classic to the avant-garde, the Series offers Sewanee students and community members a rich sampling of the contemporary musical and theatrical scene. Through the Performing Arts Series, Sewanee expresses its conviction that live artistic performance is a powerful tool for education and an essential component of a vibrant community.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m. Central.





Sewanee faculty, staff and students are admitted free with university ID.

Season tickets for all six events are available for $90/adult; $75/senior; and $40/student.

Tickets are guaranteed not to be sold out at the door until 20 minutes before the performance begins. We recommend arriving early for the best seating. All seating is general admission.

Driving directions: The University of the South is located just minutes from I-24 atop the Cumberland Plateau between Nashville (1.5 hours from campus) and Chattanooga (45 minutes from campus), in Sewanee, Tennessee. Sewanee is on Central Standard Time.
